All families and individuals welcome for a day of active learning of the wisdom of applied biodynamic agriculture on a beautiful new farmland near Ellerston, Barrington Tops National Park (45 minutes inland from Newcastle).

Learn practical applications and knowledge on biodynamic agriculture and its meaningful celebration of the alchemy of minerals, plants, animals, and humans in nature which offers real solutions to the prevailing question of all ages: “What Can I/We do?” in this promising era.
Participants will learn biodynamic principles and preparations that can be applied to any environment, from pots on a balcony to a production farm, all while enjoying a day out in the countryside and meeting new friends.
In this workshop we will be visiting ‘Saddle Tops Farm’ in the Hunter Region. Maddie and Nick Sarkis purchased ‘Saddle Tops’ in 2020 with the plan to become self-sufficient with crops and animals. They have 10 acres of undeveloped farmland situated in a valley surrounded by bush that rises around them.
At the workshop participants will learn the values of making a compost heap for enlivened soil and of the specific signature biodynamic preparations for soil that is balanced in phosphorus, potassium salts, sulphur, calcium, silica and iron as per Dr. Rudolf Steiner’s proven indications.
We will be activating and distributing biodynamic fertilisers specially prepared for enlivening the land and atmosphere.
A wholesome shared lunch will be included, and free camping is available on-site the night before the event.
