Cherie Hutchinson brings over a decade of hands-on biodynamic farming expertise to her role as a board member of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia. As Tourism and Farm Manager at Jurlique, she has spent more than 12 years deeply immersed in the company’s certified biodynamic farm in the Adelaide Hills, including 10 years as Farm Manager overseeing all aspects of the operation.
Cherie’s experience spans the full spectrum of biodynamic mixed horticulture, from propagation and planting to harvesting medicinal and cosmetic botanicals. She has successfully managed the day-to-day cultivation of diverse crops while maintaining the farm as an integrated, living organism—a cornerstone of biodynamic principles.
A passionate advocate for agritourism at both national and international levels, Cherie welcomes guests to the Jurlique farm from around the world, showcasing biodynamic practices and the journey from botanical cultivation to natural skincare. Through these farm experiences, she educates visitors, stakeholders, and tourism partners on sustainable farming techniques, healing herbs, and the vital connection between biodynamic agriculture and product quality.
Adelaide Hills born and bred, Cherie combines her professional expertise with a genuine passion for sustainable agriculture and nurturing the land for future generations.
